You asked for it, and it’s finally here! You can now use HamStudy without creating an account. To do so, simply use the “login” button and click “Continue as Guest”.
What this means
When you log in as a guest your data is being saved but not in a way that is any way tied to you or your email address. This is great for users who want to try out HamStudy without the hassle of creating an account or users who may not have easy access to an email account when they go to study.
Guest users cannot edit site content such as question explanations and your data will be lost if your browser cookies are deleted or you don’t use the site for more than a month. Guest users also cannot share data across multiple computers or devices.
HamStudy.org works great on all desktop and mobile devices.

Like the log in change. I hadn’t heard of this site before. Think I’ll take a look around.

General License flashcards are not working – the update seems to have damaged this (technician license works)

We have confirmed that there is a bug with flashcards; it’s actually affecting all of them, but inconsistently. I’ll get it fixed tonight, and sorry about that!

I just found this site. Awesome. One minor request– when I view flash cards on my ipad mini, I have to scroll down a good bit to click the ‘next’ button, so far that the flash card isn’t even on my screen anymore, just a ‘next’ button all alone by itself. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed.

Hello all!
I was wondering how to reset the statistics on both the exam and the flash cards. Is this possible?
By taxilian March 12, 2014 - 10:26
It is not currently possible; can you explain why you want to? The flashcards are designed to continue quizing you and repeat things as needed so that you practice the items you most need to prepare you to pass the exam.

I have a learning disability, and wrote memorization takes me longer than most people.
The reason I wanted to reset the stats, is by starting at the top, I can pick up those questions I answered correctly and forgot, or those questions I guessed correctly. I can also dial out those questions I learned after a couple tries, and focus on those questions I will probably never get right (wrote memorization).
Hope that made sense.
BTW, this is a great site!

That all sounds like a great idea… which is why HamStudy’s flashcards should automatically do that for you. Just keep going through them, it will first make sure you answer everything correctly and then start repeating them as needed to make sure that it’s reviewing them as you miss things but also repeating the ones that you haven’t seen as often, have missed more times, etc.
Eventually we’ll add the feature you want — though honestly I think it’s probably a mistake since HamStudy’s flashcard engine will most likely do a better job of repeating questions than you would yourself. For now, though, you could just create another account with a different email address or even use youremail+2@yourdomain.com (add the +2) to create a second account from your same email address.

Most of the computers I use will not display the next button on the Flash Cards Screen and the stat screen is under the question, only my laptop that has a widescreen has it showing and the stat screen is on the right, how can I get to the next button on a conventional display?
By taxilian March 26, 2014 - 12:58
You should be able to just scroll down; I think there was a bug introduced recently that makes the next button show up too far down on small screens. I’ll try to get that fixed soon.

I just wanted to say Kudos for a nice site. I passed the Extra test many years ago. Before the internet was available to the public. I was considering putting up a site to help folks study. Now, I will just point people here. Thanks for saving me a lot of work!

Just want to thank you for this wonderful study tool. I just passed my test with flying colors and have sent this link to 3 more people who are interested in getting their licenses. Great job on a GREAT site.

Just used the flash card today and finished 100% all the questions. I am surprised I learned much from other people wiki’s on the back of the flashcards. I’m going to take the test tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll pass. 🙂 Great job.
